To address a critical skill gap in the energy sector, University of Houston's Subsea Systems Institute (SSI) has teamed up with SPRINT Robotics to offer a series of micro-credentialing courses focused on robotics. The key to clearing harmful chemicals from Texas shores may be close at hand. A UH-led team is studying native aquatic plants’ abilities to clear runoff chemicals that concentrate in watersheds, where they pose risks to humans and wildlife. The natural system will be not only efficient but also cost effective.
UH Student Gabrielle Kostecki Among 2023 Goldwater Scholars
Junior mathematical biology major Gabrielle Kostecki adds a Goldwater Scholarship to her growing list of accomplishments. She is among 413 Goldwater Scholars selected from an initial pool of approximately 5,000 students nationwide.
